About This Place

Located in the heart of Pompano Beach, Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro is a charming breakfast destination that masterfully brings the flavors of France to South Florida. This cozy, inviting spot specializes in authentic French cuisine that promises to delight your senses from the very first bite. Whether you’re craving light pastries or a hearty morning meal, Amy’s expertly crafted menu offers a range of options designed to satisfy every palate.

Step inside to find a warm ambiance, with just a few intimate tables inside and a private outdoor seating area perfect for savoring your breakfast while enjoying the Florida sun. Despite its petite size, Amy’s fills the space with a lively, welcoming energy, reflected in the friendly service patrons rave about. From the moment you are greeted by the attentive staff, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a beloved Parisian neighborhood spot rather than a casual takeaway joint.

The signature items at Amy’s are a celebration of classic French bakery artistry. The buttery, flaky croissants—especially the almond and chocolate varieties—are standouts that customers return for again and again. One delighted guest declared Amy’s almond croissant “the BEST I’ve ever had,” a sentiment echoed by many who find themselves comparing it fondly to Paris itself. The savory options don’t disappoint either. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich and the mushroom omelet, brimming with fresh ingredients and top-quality cheese, deliver on comforting, rich flavors without ever feeling heavy.

For those who prefer a lighter or more inventive breakfast, the avocado toast and natural fruit crepe provide fresh, vibrant alternatives, while the French breakfast plate, complete with eggs over easy, fries, and croissants, offers an indulgent yet balanced start to your day. Don’t miss the quiche options and the unique omelet wrapped in a delicate crepe filled with ham, brie, and mushrooms—a recipe that earned high praise for its perfect harmony of textures and flavors.

Beverage lovers will appreciate the perfectly crafted cappuccinos and lattes that complement each dish, rounding out your meal with warmth and a velvety finish. Many guests mention the impeccable coffee as a key part of their truly satisfying dining experience.

Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro’s commitment to freshness and quality shines through every plate, creating a sensory journey that’s as comforting as it is elegant. The local favorites, such as the Nutella French toast and the poutin—a surprising yet delicious twist—add layers of excitement to the traditional menu, ensuring there’s something new to discover with every visit.

While parking can get a bit tight during peak hours, loyal customers agree it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the rewarding flavors and exceptional hospitality inside. Open exclusively for breakfast and lunch (closed Sundays), Amy’s offers an intimate, specialized experience that fills a unique niche in Pompano Beach’s culinary scene.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro promises a morning meal that feels genuinely special—inviting you to linger, savor, and return. As one enthusiastic diner put it, “a true gem” where every visit feels like a little celebration of French tradition, flavor, and heartfelt service.

Ouah. OMG. In any language this place is amazing!!!!! I was greeted by all the staff, so very friendly… the croissants are one of the best I have ever had…. Sorry Paris …. My ham and cheese and mushroom omelette was superb with fresh mushrooms and top notch cheese…. I definitely will be coming back here and bringing my friends and family. My nephew Josh is a food critic in South Florida JosheatsFL and I will be recommending this place for him to come and try it out and he will say it’s oh yeah certified

Super cute little French place. Short and easy menu, I had the omelet in a crepe with ham+brie+mushrooms: very yummy. You can have extra eggs as a side which is great, they have the usual French pasties at the counter as well as quiches which looked great! Service is quick (2 on staff), place is cozy (3 tables inside, 3 outside), prices are reasonable. Definitely coming back

As good as it sounds. Delicious fresh ingredients and great atmosphere is what you should expect. Came here with my daughter and she also very much enjoyed her Nutella French toast. I went with the French toast with fruit. So good! Also, the lattes

A true gem. Hands down the BEST almond croissant I’ve ever had. French toast was super good. DEFINITELY GET THE POUTIN!! Amazing service. The owner was super welcoming. Just a perfect experience all around. I visited twice while I was in town and both times were top notch.

Great small bakery with delicious food!! Good portions next time I will share. Took home a Nutella Croissant just couldn't resist. When busy parking is a bit rough but worth it. Only open for bkft & lunch and closed on Sunday.

This local place is amazing. From the super friendly service to the delicious, fresh pastries, this place blew us out of the water. It seemed like the bakery owner knew the local recurring customers well as she always greeted them so positively. We were new so she took the time to ask us questions about where we were from and what brought us down here. I had a chocolate croissant and it was so delicious. I also had the complete breakfast which was amazing also. The food was so good that of course I had to try the tomato bisque soup at the end of the meal! Overall this place deserves a 6/5. Highlights are the service and the French pastries. Parking can be a bit tight but we went on a Friday afternoon and had no issues.

We came here on a Saturday..I've never been here before. We were greeted and seated right away and the staff was so friendly. I ordered a complete breakfast my girlfriend ordered the French toast with fruit on top. The wait wasn't long and definitely worth it because the quality was amazing and tasty. The French toast was sweet and buttery, the hashbrowns were cooked well as were the bacon and scrambled eggs and everything was on point. I would recommend if you are looking for quality food with quality service. One more thing to add the croissant that i got to go was a big highlight that tasted buttery and flaky. Check this place out if you are in fort lauderdale.
